Dirt, Mud & Boys

June 26, 2009

The digging has begun....I have prayed about this building project for quite sometime now. Is it the right thing to do... even though God had clearly showed me several years ago, an addition that never even seemed possible, but is now becoming a reality. Thank you Lord. There are moments where I have to take a deep breath and trust. Trust we are doing the right thing, trust the stress will not be too much and trust our God is bigger than two extra bedrooms. To God be the glory.

So as we progress forward, our boys have found their second love (mommy is still first.) How will I ever keep them clean enough to go somewhere? I use to laugh (before I had two little boys) and shake my head when my sister would get so frustrated with her boys getting dirty. See, my girls, I could send them outside before school to play, they could play on the swingset before church... But not my nephews. And Sondra knew; I however, had no idea why the boys couldn't just play and stay clean until it was time to go. Sondra knew something I would come to know a few years later. Little boys, no matter how much they are told or how much they want to obey (yes, I still believe they want to obey), will inevitably gravitate towards sometype of dirt, water, mud. It's just the way God made them. Now that I have this new found information, what will I do with it? Keep them in the house all summer, 4-5 baths a day, or tell them to clean off in the kiddie pool before coming in the house, now I ask you what would you all do. In God's Love, sheila
